In Our Unity
Hope Is Where the Heart Is
Since 2008, IOU(In Our Unity), a non-profit organization, has been volunteering all across the Bay Area as a non-profit organization. Split into five divisions, high schoolers across the bay have volunteered and donated to organizations mainly the Santa Clara City Library Foundation and Friends, volunteering for the Central Library's monthly book sales and annually donating money to support the organization through recycling. Additionally, IOU works with CityTeam to help neighbors in need and donating books to support the education of children.
Activities
In Our Unity is achieving more with our initiatives than ever before. We work on many exciting projects to help improve the lives of others, and are very proud of the progress we continue to make. Learn more about what we do, who we help, and how we work every day to promote positive change.
We gather plastic bottles, glass bottles, and cans that we deposit at a recycling center two to three times a year.
Origami
We hold special events at various libraries to teach origami to children. Libraries visited include the Saratoga and Santa Clara Library.
Book Donations
We collect children's books and donate them overseas, some to a Korean library and others to a Cambodian school.
Book Sales
We help out in the closing process of the monthly Santa Clara Library book sale, hosted every 3rd Saturday of the month.
Seven Trees Library
We visit Pastor Peter Jung of GLP's (Guiding Lights Project) Saturday Club biyearly and hold activities with the kids there.

Homeless Outreach
With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. Learn more about our work by getting in touch with our team today.
Tutor
We got in touch with kids in Korea and taught them English through Zoom.
